Energy Management Intern

We are looking for an Energy Management Intern to support our team in optimizing energy assets and advising clients on energy strategies. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the energy sector, working in a fast-growing, start up environment. 

Your Role – full ownership and responsibility from day 1 

The role requires a high degree of ownership and responsibility while being part of a committed team, ensuring projects align with specifications, standards, budgets, schedules, and safety guidelines. 

As an Energy Management Intern, you will assist in managing clients’ energy assets, analyzing energy market trends, and optimizing energy strategies. You will work closely with our team of experienced energy managers and gain practical experience in energy trading, asset optimization, and consultancy. 

Responsibilities 

• Supporting the daily management of energy assets for clients in industries such as industrial manufacturing, hotels, and solar parks. 
• Assisting in submitting day-ahead nominations for expected electricity consumption and production. 
• Helping optimize energy assets by participating in imbalance and balancing markets. 
• Analyzing energy trading results and providing insights for 
• Conducting research on opportunities for our clients to improve sustainability, efficiency, and profitability. 
• Collaborating with the IT team to improve our energy management platform. 
• Contributing to the development and innovation of our products and services. 

We are looking for a proactive intern who: 

• Has a background in energy, engineering, economics, or a related field. 
• Has at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.  
• Enjoys working with data and has strong problem-solving skills. 
• Has excellent communication skills, able to explain complex energy concepts clearly. 
• Is technically inclined, with experience in Excel and/or Python for data analysis (or is eager to learn). 
• Is passionate about sustainability and wants to contribute to the energy transition. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Knowledge of energy production and consumption technologies (e.g., CHP systems, solar energy, batteries). 
• Understanding of energy markets and trading, or a strong motivation to learn. 
• Fluent in English & German (German is a plus but not required).
