Your Role – full ownership and responsibility from day 1 

The role requires a high degree of ownership and responsibility while being part of a committed team, ensuring projects align with specifications, standards, budgets, schedules, and safety guidelines. 

This position requires a strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS) and energy management technologies, focusing on both field service and software development aspects. The candidate will be responsible for system design, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and software development for automation and security management systems. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Diagnose and resolve software-related issues in Building Automation and Energy Management Systems. 
  • Perform software maintenance, including updates, security patches, and antivirus management. 
  • Develop and optimize automation software, control algorithms, and graphical user interfaces. 
  • Assist with the specification and configuration of controllers, sensors, and communication networks. 
  • Support the commissioning and startup of new automation systems, ensuring full functionality. 
  • Conduct functional testing and troubleshoot network and integration issues. 
  • Capture and analyze network traffic to support software engineers in debugging and optimizing system performance. 
  • Collaborate with third-party commissioning agents and project teams to address system deficiencies. 
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including submittals, revision control, and compliance reports. 
  • Ensure adherence to safety and ethics standards in all field operations. 

 What We Are Looking For: 

  • A degree (or ongoing studies) in Engineering, Automation, Energy Systems, or a related field.  
  • Interest in IoT, smart buildings, and automation technologies.  
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive attitude.  
  • Proficiency in coding across multiple programming languages  
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.  
  • Bonus: German language skills (B2) are a plus but not required.
